Where NSW plastic rules are heading

Under the NSW Plastics Plan 2.0 (NSW EPA, November 2025), the NSW Government has proposed requiring takeaway food-service businesses to fill a customer's own reusable cup. The measure sits in a Bill still before the NSW Parliament and, if passed, would apply from 1 January 2028.
