How colour matching works
Tell us your colours
Send PMS numbers from your brand guide, or just send your logo. We’ll identify the closest PMS match for you, free.
We confirm on your proof
Your print-ready proof lists the exact PMS colours to be used, so what’s approved is what prints.
We print to the standard
Spot-colour methods like pad and screen printing are mixed to the physical Pantone reference. Consistent across reorders, too.
Check contrast before you commit
A perfect PMS match still needs the right cup colour behind it. Preview your logo on light and dark reusable cups in seconds with the free Preview Studio. Colour accuracy matters most on printed mugs and printed glassware.
Colour questions, answered
What is a PMS colour
A PMS (Pantone Matching System) colour is a standardised ink colour identified by a number, e.g. PMS 186 C is a specific red. Because inks are mixed to a physical reference, your brand colour prints identically every time, on every order.
How accurate is colour matching on cups
Spot-colour methods like pad and screen printing are mixed to the physical Pantone reference, so the match is very close and consistent across reorders. Full-colour methods reproduce most PMS colours closely in CMYK, and we flag any that shift before you approve the proof.
Can you match our exact brand colour
Yes. Send your PMS numbers or brand guide and we match spot colours to the physical Pantone standard, then confirm the exact codes on your print-ready proof before production.
Does colour vary by material
A little. The same ink can read slightly different on clear glass, natural bamboo fibre or bare stainless, because the cup colour shows through or behind it. We recommend the best method and finish for your colour on each material.
What does colour matching cost
PMS identification and colour matching are included at no cost with your order. If colour accuracy is critical, ask us about a physical pre-production sample.
Can you print our logo in full colour
Yes. Full-colour sublimation and digital printing reproduce detailed and photographic artwork in CMYK, which covers most PMS colours closely. For one or two brand colours, spot-colour printing gives the most exact match.
What file should we send to show our PMS colour
A vector logo (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) with the PMS numbers noted is ideal. If you only have a JPEG or PNG, send it anyway and our artwork team will redraw it and identify the closest PMS matches.
How do we supply our brand colours
Send your PMS numbers from your brand guide, or just send your logo and we will identify them for you. Either way we confirm the colours on your proof before anything prints.
