The six methods we use most

How each one looks, lasts and suits your budget.

Pad printing

A silicone pad stamps your logo onto the cup. The workhorse for curved surfaces and smaller print areas.

  • 1–4 spot colours, PMS matched
  • Crisp detail on plastic, metal & ceramic
  • Cost-effective at volume

Screen printing

Ink pushed through a fine mesh screen, including rotary screening that wraps bold logos around cylindrical cups such as plastic cups.

  • Bold, vibrant spot colours
  • Large wrap-around print areas
  • Great durability on glass & plastic

Laser engraving

Your logo etched permanently into stainless steel for an executive finish that can never wash, scratch or peel off. Ideal for branded vacuum flasks and metal drink bottles.

  • Permanent, outlasts the cup
  • Premium look for corporate gifting
  • Fine line detail, single tone

Full-colour sublimation

Dye infused into a coated surface. Photographic quality, edge-to-edge colour with no extra cost per colour, best shown on full-colour sublimation mugs.

  • Unlimited colours & gradients
  • Full-wrap designs & photos
  • Ideal for ceramic & coated metal mugs

Digital / UV printing

Full-colour artwork printed directly onto the cup and cured with UV light. Fast turnaround, fine detail, small minimums.

  • Full colour incl. white ink
  • Sharp small text & QR codes
  • Good for shorter runs

Etched glass

A frosted, tactile finish on glass cups and bottles. Subtle, sophisticated and permanent.

  • Elegant frosted look
  • Permanent for life
  • Best on premium glassware

Decoration questions, answered

Quick answers on durability, colour and lead times.

Which decoration method lasts longest

Laser engraving and glass etching are permanent. The mark is cut into the material itself, so it can’t wash or scratch off. Quality prints are very durable too, and we’ll advise care guidance per product.

Can you match our exact brand colours

Yes. Spot-colour methods (pad and screen printing) are matched to your PMS colours. See our PMS colour chart, or send your brand guidelines and our artwork team will confirm the match on your proof.

Does more colours mean more cost

For pad and screen printing, yes: each spot colour adds a pass. Full-colour sublimation and digital printing charge no per-colour premium, so complex logos are often better value on those methods. Your quote will show the best option.

What is the difference between pad and screen printing

Pad printing presses ink from a silicone pad and suits small, detailed logos on curved cups. Screen printing pushes ink through a mesh and suits bold, larger wrap-around designs. Both are PMS matched and very durable.

Which method is best for full-colour artwork

Full-colour sublimation and digital UV printing reproduce photographic, multi-colour artwork with no per-colour premium. Sublimation suits coated mugs and full wraps, while UV suits fine detail and shorter runs.

Can you print white or metallic logos

Yes. Digital UV printing can lay down white ink for logos on dark or clear cups, and we offer metallic and frosted effects on selected methods. We confirm what your cup and artwork allow.

How do I supply artwork for decoration

Send vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) where possible, or a high-resolution PNG, plus your PMS colours. Our artwork team checks everything and sends a proof before production. See our artwork tips for details.
